Review Week 5

LINE
This poster represents line element. These long vertical lines represent loftiness and grandeur. This is suggesting that either the city or even the batman and powerful. There are no curved or twisted lines on this poster. Twisted lines would show confusion or turbulence, which are some things that "The Dark Night" does not posses.

SPACE
This poster is portraying the use of negative and positive space.  While some people may see a simple goblet, others may just as easily see two men, facing each other. In this case, it is very difficult to decide which is the positive and which is the negative.

VALUE
This poster of Obama is showing value, which is the degree of light and dark in a design.  On his face you can see the  different use of colors. They seem to create a three dimensional look. Also, the blue and the red in the background show great contrast.
SHAPE
This poster utilizes shape.  The globes that represent the wheels on the bicycle are circular.  Circles  convey the feeling of protecting or infinity, symbolizing that by doing this we are protecting the world. The world will last longer if we take good care of it.
TEXTURE
This poster shows many different textures. They compare the hard rocky ground to the smooth, slick iphone. This is a very good use of contrast. Using texture engages your sense of touch instead of just your sense of sight.
